Description

Circa 1863-4; 4-storey and basement terrace of tenements with return elevation to Woodlands Road. Polished ashlar, channelled at ground, stonecleaned.

Willowbank Street elevation: 5 tenements of 5 bays. Except No 2, each with centrally placed pilastered doorway supporting corniced entablature, recessed pilastered reveals support moulded archivolt to

round-arched fanlight. End bays tripartite; all upper windows architraved, corniced at 1st and 2nd, latTer with bracketted cills. Sash windows with plate glass or 10-pane glazing; some modern pivot windows at No 24.

Band course over ground and at cill strings to 1st and 3rd floors stepped continuously down terrace. Eaves band course; plain main cornice. Tall wallhead and axial stacks.

No 2; ground floor altered; windows and doors blocked up. Centre bay has tripartite window to upper floors.

Rear elevation: coursed ashlar walling, polished margins. Canted stone stair with solid newel and parapet.

Woodlands Road elevation: 7-bay with shops at ground.
