250, 252, 254, 256 West George Street, Glasgow

This building, located at 250, 252, 254, and 256 West George Street in Glasgow, dates from around 1830 and is a three-storey tenement with a sunk basement. It features seven bays in a classical style, connecting the southeast side of Blythswood Square with a terraced block on the north side of West George Street. The exterior is finished in polished ashlar stone, with a channelled design at the ground floor. There is a basement band course and cill bands on the first and second floors. The ground and first floors have sash and case windows, with margined windows at the ground level and two-pane windows above; the second floor features T-pane casements. The building has an eaves cornice and a blocking course, along with a corniced end stack and a slate roof. Additionally, there are cast-iron spearhead railings.
