Description

Robert Dalglish, dated 1882. 2-storey, Jacobean janitor's lodge house on flat-iron plan, en suite with main school. Stugged ashlar with polished margins and quoins. Roll-moulded architraves to windows, with aprons. Stone mullions.

Bowed, narrow elevation to Eldon Street with bipartite window to each floor, dated, scroll-flanked tablet above cornice.

2-bay side elevations. Entrance portico to side / rear, square-section ashlar columns, entablature and parapet above. Section of ashlar wall adjoining.

Plate glass sash and case windows. Corniced ashlar wallhead stack. Grey slates.

GATEPIERS AND RAILINGS: square-section ashlar piers with panelled neck, cornice and tapered base to ball finial. Decorative, heavy cast-iron railings on ashlar dwarf wall.
