Description
The stairway to Claremont Terrace Lane in Woodlands Terrace, Glasgow, dates from around 1855. It features a balustraded stone design that connects Woodlands Terrace to Clifton Street. The stairway consists of a double flight of steps that meet at a landing, leading to an additional straight flight. The outer piers are massive and made of channelled granite, while the inner piers and balustrade are less substantial. The upper flight is equipped with plain cast-iron railings, and some of the steps have been repaired.
