Description
1 Regent Park Square in Glasgow is a mid-19th century, three-storey tenement block that is part of a row of four similar buildings. The design features four 7x5-bay closes, with two tenements set side by side and the end tenements positioned at right angles. The building is in a late Georgian style, characterized by shallow advanced five-bay ends. It is constructed from stone-cleaned ashlar, with a channelled ground floor. The upper floors have architraved windows, which are sash windows with a four-pane glazing pattern. The first floor is corniced, and the windows are set between a cill band and an entablature on the second floor. The building has end and wall-head stacks, and it is topped with a modern tile roof. The detailing is consistent on the flanks of the building as well.
