Description
222 and 224 Darnley Street in Glasgow is a three-storey corner tenement building designed in the style of Thomson and Turnbull, possibly by Robert Turnbull, and dating from around 1880. The building has been renovated in 1987 and features stone-cleaned yellow ashlar with channeling at the ground level. It has plain unmargined openings arranged in regular bays and a shallow recessed four-light bow at the angle. The building includes cill courses, a cornice, and rendered stacks. The roof is partly covered with original slate and partly with modern tiles. The sash windows have four-pane glazing.
