Description
11 Ashton Road in Glasgow is a terrace of two-storey and basement houses built around 1862. The terrace features three bays, although part of it has been demolished at the eastern end. The front is finished in polished ashlar, while the rear elevation is made of squared rubble.
Each house has arched entrances on the left, leading up steps that oversail the basement area. These entrances are supported by consoles and cornices adorned with guttae. The windows are primarily sash and case, with three-pane horizontal glazing. There is a centrally placed oriel window on the first floor, positioned above the ground floor windows of each house, supported by dentilled brackets. The eaves are finished with an entablature featuring a dentil cornice, and there are corniced axial stacks on the roof.
