Description

Dairsie Castle is a 16th century Z-plan tower house that is now in ruins. Fragments of the northeast and southwest walls still stand above the second floor. The main rectangular block is constructed of rubble, while the towers are made of ashlar. The remains of the south tower feature gun loops and have been converted into a dovecot, and there is a stair in the north tower. The windows are square-headed with heavily chamfered margins.

Inside, there are two vaulted chambers at ground level.
