Description
This is a picturesque lodge, dating from approximately 1830 to 1840. It is a single-storey and attic building in an L-shape, constructed of coursed squared rubble with an ashlar plinth, window surrounds, and angle margins. The south front features a broad gable with overhanging eaves and elaborate bargeboards above a canted bay, which has a shallow piended roof. A narrow rectangular opening is located at the eastern end. An attached attic with a projecting lintel block is present to the south, and to the right is a single-storey wing with a low bipartite window, also featuring a projecting lintel block, with lying panes. The west front has a similar broad gable at the centre, flanked by later piended and finialled attic dormers. Tall rectangular stacks are topped with cavetto cornices.
