Description

Denhall is a three-storey house dating from the later 18th century. It is built of rubble with contrasting ashlar dressings, and has a gabled design with straight skews topped with caretto moulded skewputs. The roof is slated, and the rectangular end stacks are made of droved ashlar with a caretto cornice.

The south front has three bays. The central door is set within a round-headed opening with a fanlight above. Tall, round-headed windows illuminate the ground and first floors to the left and right of the door, while a similar opening lights the first and second floors in the centre. A small, rectangular opening is present on the second floor to the right. The end elevations feature a single, tall, round-headed window centrally positioned on the ground and first floors, and a smaller, round-headed window on the second floor. The north, or rear, elevation has a tall, round-headed window extending through the ground, first, and second floors to the right, above which is a chimney gablet. Two small, later, rectangular openings are visible at ground floor level to the left.

Inside, the rooms are plain and have been altered, but those on the first floor retain their original cornices and six-panelled doors. A circular newel stair is also present.
