Description
This is a circa 1840 building, originally an ashlar structure with a stugged (roughened) first floor. It has seven windows, original sash glazing, and a slate roof. The rear extension is constructed of whin rubble and is two storeys high, featuring hoist gablets on the first floor. It incorporates semi-elliptical and segmental arches. The statutory address includes a cafe restaurant, Craigdene and Cruachan, and associated garage and store located on the east side of North Wynd at the rear of 22 Main Street. The building's group value, re-categorized as C(S) from B in 2006, recognizes its significance in the context of the surrounding buildings. This designation applies equally to the building's interior and exterior.
