The main structure is built of ashlar stone, with a stugged (roughened) finish to the first floor. The windows retain their original glazing and are covered by a slate roof. The rear of the building is constructed of whin rubble stone and features a two-storey arrangement with hoist gablets at the first floor level. It incorporates semi-elliptical and segmental arches. The building is listed for its group value, acknowledging the interest it holds within the wider context of Colinsburgh, with the listing applying to both the interior and exterior.
