Description

The Old Bridge over Bluther Burn in Newmills is a small structure featuring a semi-circular arch made of rubble with voussoirs that have chamfered arrises. It is believed to be disused and likely dates back to the 17th century, with widening that occurred in the 18th century. At the west end, there is a smaller arch that spans a lade. The parapets of the bridge are no longer present.
