Description
Stella Maris, also known as Barns Cottage, is an early 19th century building originally comprising three simple, single-storey cottages. The easternmost cottage was later used as an Infants' School. The exterior is constructed of coursed rubble with droved dressings, and has a pantile roof. The windows of Stella Maris have been enlarged and now contain modern glazing. The building is listed due to its group value, reflecting the importance of the ensemble, and applies to both the interior and exterior.
