Description
Burns Cottage, located at 3 The Square, Kingsbarns, dates from the early 19th century. It originally comprised three plain, single-storey cottages, with the easternmost building functioning as an Infants' School. The construction is of coursed rubble, with droved dressings. The roof is pantiled and the windows, originally of Stella Mavis design, have been enlarged and fitted with modern glazing. The building is listed at Grade C due to its group value; this applies to both the interior and exterior. The statutory address is now recorded as Barns Cottage and Stella Maris (W B Anderson), The Square.
