Description
Rumdewan is an earlier 19th-century, two-storey, four-bay house situated at 52 Main Street, Kingskettle. The house is constructed of stugged and snecked ashlar. A late 19th-century painted ashlar porch sits centrally, featuring deeply chamfered angles, corbelling to form a square base, a shaped cornice, and a blocking course. Single windows are positioned in the outer bays, and there are four windows on the first floor, all with eight-pane sashes. A narrow eaves band runs across the building, with straight skews, corniced end stacks, and a slate roof.
A two-storey block extends to the west from the south gable, forming an L-plan. This section has been altered and now features single and mullioned windows.
