Description

The Town Hall in Auchtermuchty, dated 1728, is a two-storey building featuring a central tower with slit windows. The tower has a round arched belfry stage with one opening on each face, topped by a balustraded parapet and a stone pyramid spire. Victorian alterations include changes to the first-floor windows, which have been modified to bipartite designs with gable dormer heads. The clock on the building dates from 1897. The structure is built of rubble and has a crowstepped, slated roof.
