Description

Forgan Parish Church, designed by David Bryce in 1841, is a simple round-arched neo-mediaeval building with a T-plan. It is constructed from whinstone with sandstone dressings, featuring dressed whinstone at the west gable, while the rest of the church is stuccoed and lined out. The church has a circular bellcote with a conical roof at the west gable. The interior remains largely unaltered, apart from the insertion of an organ, and includes a pulpit with a sounding board and three galleries. The ceiling is depressed rib-arched, and there are stained glass windows depicting Faith and Hope, created by Morris & Co in 1895 and 1903.
