Description

Steading and Dunmore House is a large structure from the early 19th century, built in two phases. It features whin rubble with dressed sandstone details and a slated roof, along with a later pantiled cattle court. The barn and granary include remnants of the Dunmore House, which dates back to around 1672-1677. This part of the building is two stories high, made of whin rubble and sandstone, and has an angular projection that contains a chamfered doorway. Inside, there is a painted oak armorial panel and a 17th century chimney piece on the first floor.
