Description
Dunbog Parish Church was built in 1803 by James Ballingal. The church originally had a simple rectangular shape made of mixed whinstone with dressed sandstone details. It features two large Gothic windows on the south wall, flanked by Gothic doors with smaller windows above, while the rest of the wall is blank. An extension was added to the east, which included a new door and window combined as a large window, designed to match the original, by John Honeyman and Alex Kellock of Lindores in 1856. The east tower, characteristic of Fife, has a balustraded parapet and a slated spire, with windows on the north and east walls. Inside, there is a Jacobean pulpit made by John Young from Perth in 1887, along with the original gallery front and a Roman Doric column at the east gallery. The original glazing has been preserved in the south windows. The kirkyard dyke was added in 1853.
