36-38 High Street in Auchtermuchty is an 18th-century, plain two-storey house featuring five windows. The building has a stepped design with three windows on one level and two on another. It is finished with modern dry dash harling and has painted margins. The house includes droved ashlar chimneys, although one has been removed. The property has undergone significant renovations and has been partly reglazed.
