Description

The two adjoining properties at 2 and 4 Newburgh Road in Auchtermuchty are late 18th century, single-storey, three-bay cottages. Each cottage features two windows and a central door. They are constructed from rubble and have 12-pane timber sash and case windows, along with red pantiled roofs that were formerly thatched, and ashlar skews. The cottage at No. 2 has a scrolled skewputt on the south gable, while No. 4 includes a small attic window on the north gable. Both cottages have rubble end chimney stacks, with one central stack. The interior was not seen in 2021.
