Description
64, 66, 68, 70 Main Street in Aberdour is an 18th-century, two-storey, three-bay rectangular-plan house constructed from tooled, coursed, squared rubble with raised margins around its openings.
On the northwest (principal) elevation, there is a door to the right, with windows located in the centre and to the left. The first-floor windows are positioned above the ground floor openings, close to the eaves.
The southwest elevation is attached to 62 Main Street and shows evidence of a blocked window to the right of the gable.
The southeast (rear) elevation features three windows on the ground floor, with a passageway to the far left. The first floor has a window to the right and centre above the ground floor openings, and a window to the left above what appears to be changes to the openings below, also close to the eaves.
The northeast elevation is attached to 74 Main Street. The building has a modern door with upper glass panels and modern 12-pane timber sash and case windows. The roof is pitched and covered with concrete interlocking tiles, featuring ashlar coped skew to the south gable. There are corniced gable apex stacks, which have been enlarged with stone on the northeast side and brick on the southwest side.
