Description
Mayview is a two-storey, three-window house dated 1738, as indicated by a lintel at the rear. The exterior is harled with margins. It features a Gibbs surround to the front door and crowstepped gables at the back. A former cottage known as "East End" was incorporated into the west wing in 1971, and is constructed of harl with a pantile roof, and contains one door and one bipartite window. A further cottage to the east was also absorbed, creating a roughly symmetrical appearance. The building's listing acknowledges its group value and applies to both interior and exterior features. The statutory address is Mayview, Main Street, and St Andrews Road, Kilconquhar.
