Rowanlea is a late 18th-century house situated on Main Street, Kilconquhar, which was modernised in the early 20th century. It is a single-storey building with an attic, featuring a two-window facade and a central door. The windows have been altered to have bipartites. There are piended dormers with bipartite windows, and one gable has a crowstepped detail at the rear. The building is listed for its group value, reflecting its contribution to the surrounding area, and the listing applies to both the interior and exterior.
