Description

36-42 West Road in Newport-On-Tay is a pair of Jacobean-style houses built around 1840. The buildings consist of two blocks, each containing two houses. They feature single-storey attic and basement doorways with arches, which are flanked by octagonal shafts and topped with shaped gables. The chimneys also have octagonal shafts. The exterior is finished in painted ashlar stone and has a slated roof. While the overall design is consistent, there are slight variations in details from one house to another.
