Description
Montrave House, formerly known as Montrave Steading, is a large, rectangular lean-to building that dates back to 1737, as indicated by an inset stone. The structure features two chambers and is constructed of rubble with pantile roofing and crowstepped flanks. A stepped string-course adds to its architectural detail. The roof is partly missing, and there are 959 nest-holes in each chamber. The east end of the building is also partly gone.
