Description
The General at Pittenweem Harbour has medieval origins. The old pier on the east was repaired and lengthened in 1656, with significant rebuilding occurring in 1703 and further repairs from 1724 to 1726. It was enlarged and reconstructed in 1855 using bullfaced block in coursed masonry. Since then, it has undergone numerous repairs and modifications in concrete.
