Description

46 South Street in St Andrews is a building dating from 1723, which incorporates elements from the 16th and 17th centuries. The front of the building is three stories high and features five windows. It is constructed from rubble and has v-jointed pilaster strips at either end. The entrance includes a Roman Doric column with a pedimented doorpiece that displays the Hadow arms, alongside a panel featuring the arms of Balfour of Montquhanie. The roof is slated and has crowstepped gables.
