Description

Earlier 19th century, later much extended to side and rear. Single storey, 3-bay, piend-roofed lodge house with dominant Greek Doric portico. Painted ashlar with deep base and eaves courses and quoin strips, moulded cornice.

W (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: symmetrical. Prostyle flat-roofed

portico at centre over timber door with letterbox fanlight windows in flanking bays; recessed extension to left with window.

N ELEVATION: blinded window to left; advanced extension with 3 windows.

4-pane glazing pattern in timber sash and case windows with modern glazing in extension. Graded grey slates. Harled and coped stack.

BOUNDARY WALLS, GATEPIERS AND RAILINGS: cement-rendered, low saddleback-coped boundary walls and pyramid-capped, fielded gatepiers. Decorative arrowhead cast-iron railings on ashlar base.
