Description
Riggs is an earlier 19th-century farmhouse that stands two stories tall and features three bays. The building is constructed of ashlar stone and has a central recessed door adorned with a painted, pilastered doorpiece. It includes 12-pane sash windows and an eaves band. The farmhouse has corniced stacks at each end and is topped with a slate roof. It is enclosed by a low ashlar garden wall with spearhead railings, and the square gatepiers are capped with pyramidal tops.
To the east of the farmhouse is an earlier 19th-century single-storey cottage with five bays, made of snecked and stugged ashlar. This cottage has a central door on the east elevation, with modern glazing in the left bays and 12-pane glazing in the right bays. It features a single central stack and a steep-pitched piended slate roof.
