Description

Circa 1900. 2-storey, 4-bay flatted dwelling with shop at ground. Ashlar and squared rubble with stugged ashlar dressings, harl to rear. 1st floor cill course, eaves cornice and pedimented balustrade to N, deep eaves course to W. Architraved and tabbed openings to 1st floor N.

N (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: altered shop at ground with in-canted door and adjacent display window to left, and 2 further display windows to right; deep out-of-character fascia board between floors and 3 windows to left at 1st floor with balustrade above surmounted at centre by fielded panel and pediment, further lower bay to outer right with cartouche.

W ELEVATION: asymmetrically-fenestrated elevation with variety of elements including 2 advanced bays to left and stone forestair leading to deep-set timber door at right.

Plate glass glazing in timber sash and case windows; casement and modern glazing to 1st floor W. Flat roof. Coped ashlar stack with can.
