Description
The Dovecot at St Clement's Wells is an 18th-century, two-stage lectern dovecot made of sandstone rubble with contrasting dressed stone. It features a rat course and coped crowsteps. There is a cast-iron door on the south side, along with a flight-hole in the upper stage, while the sides and rear are blank. The roof is currently derelict as of 1989.
Inside, the walls to the north, east, and west are lined with nesting boxes made of terracotta tiles, which rest on a semi-circular corbel course. Additionally, there is a cast-iron shelf at lintel level on the south wall.
