Description
Bellevue, located on Station Road in Haddington, is an early 19th century building. Originally designed as a two-storey structure with three windows, it features symmetrical flanking pavilions. The front is made of ashlar stone and has pilastered ends on the main block, which includes a Roman Doric columned entrance and architraved windows. The main roof is piended. The wings of the building have square-headed windows set in arched recesses. The building was later raised to two storeys and now has bell-shaped pavilion roofs that are of the late 17th century Scots style, and the roofs are slated.
