Links Coachworks, Station Road, Musselburgh

Links Coachworks, located on Station Road in Musselburgh, was built in 1916 and designed by Robert Lorimer. This two-storey building features a circular turret that is tenuously attached to the corner of the works, which has a battered base in the re-entrant angle. The exterior is constructed of red snecked rubble and topped with an ogee slate roof and a weather vane. The ground floor is mostly blank, except for a small iron hatch door. The first floor is corbelled out and includes six small architraved slit windows positioned just below the eaves.

The adjoining three-bay frontage has one door and two high-level three-light windows, all of which are segmental arched with projecting keyblocks. This section is made of red squared rubble with ashlar dressings, and it features coping above the eaves gutters that is stepped between the bays. The roof is skewed and covered with slate.
