Description
Friarscroft is a late 18th century steading consisting of two adjoining blocks running from west to east. The buildings are constructed of rendered sandstone rubble and covered with pantiles. The western block is a single-storey structure with no openings, featuring an altered opening on the south front, and it has a horsemill attached to the right.
The eastern block is also single-storey, with a basement at the rear, and has a slated easing course and a gable stack. The north front has three enlarged, blind windows, while the south front is asymmetrical and includes an entrance. There is a small gable head window in the east gable.
Additionally, there is a mid-19th century octagonal horsemill made of squared coursed rubble, also covered with pantiles and ridge tiles, with a doorway located on the south side.
