Description
41C High Street in Dunbar is an 18th century, two-storey row of two cottages constructed from red sandstone rubble. The building is painted and rendered on the east gable, while the rear features some areas that are partly incised to resemble ashlar.
The arrangement of openings is random, with some upper windows having been altered and provided with ashlar dressings. The ground floor windows have small-pane glazing, with some protected by iron bars, while the upper floor features plate glass sashes.
On the east gable, there are two first-floor windows and one small gable head window. The north rear elevation, which can be accessed through the close at no. 45, has fewer openings, with some being blind. The roof is pantiled, featuring a mutual stack at the center and a gable head stack.
