Description

The Gothic Pavilion in Amisfield Park is a single-storey folly built probably in the later 18th century. It features a symmetrical design with three bays, where the end bays are advanced to the front (north) and has a crenellated top with a machicolated parapet. The structure is primarily made of coursed conglomerate rubble, with dressed and broached margins. The front has a pointed arch doorway, although the transom has been removed, and this doorway is flanked by blind gothic windows. There are circular openings on the side elevations, while the rear is plain. The pavilion is currently roofless.
