Crauchie Farmhouse

Crauchie Farmhouse is an early 19th century farmhouse that stands two storeys high and has three bays, with two single-storey outhouse wings projecting at the rear. The building is constructed of squared and snecked stugged whinstone, featuring stugged ashlar dressings. The eaves course extends around the angle of the building and is echoed at the rear, while the sides and rear are made of rubble.

On the southeast elevation, there is a margined doorpiece at the centre with a six-pane strip fanlight above it. Flanking the door are windows at the ground floor, with three smaller windows located on the first floor. The northeast elevation features two gabled outhouse extensions at the ground level, with an off-centre doorway in a lean-to porch and three windows on the first floor. The gable ends have a single light each.

The sash and case windows have twelve-pane glazing. The roof is covered with grey slates, has straight skews, and rendered stacks. Surrounding the property is a low rubble retaining wall with ashlar corniced gatepiers.
