Description
The Railway Hotel, located at 1 Hope Street and Court Street in Haddington, is a 2-storey building with an attic that dates from the later 18th century and was reconstructed in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of rubble and features a slated roof with three timber-faced dormers, each adorned with alternating pediments. The building has an irregular arrangement of windows, with four windows on the first floor. On the Hope Park side, an elliptical arch has been converted into a modern doorway, and there have been alterations to the ground floor door facing Court Street.
