Description
10 Lamer Street in Dunbar is a pair of two-storey houses dating from the first half of the 18th century. The buildings have undergone significant alterations over time. They are constructed of sandstone rubble, which has been rendered and incised to resemble ashlar, except at the rear where the original stonework is visible. The houses feature a steep gable roof covered with pantiles, and the raised plain copings have remnants of thackstane, indicating that they were previously thatched.
Each house has a forestair leading to the street, with one of them having railings. The doors are positioned between the floor levels. The openings have mostly been altered, and there is a blocked window located under the eaves at the rear of the building.
