Description

The bridge and tunnel at Gifford Water, likely designed by William Adam around 1744, is a classical structure that carries the main drive to Yester House across the river. It features a single span with a semi-circular arch, complemented by a string course and voussoirs. The bridge has a corbelled parapet with rounded coping that curves at the ends, where it is adorned with dies mounted with obelisk finials.
