Description

Smeaton Bridge is a late 18th century single span bridge over the River Esk, spanning approximately 20 feet. It features sandstone ashlar voussoirs that form a segmental arch, along with a string course and coping. The parapet and approach walls are made of sandstone rubble with harl-pointing. The approach walls curve to the south.
