Description

79 Maxwell Avenue in Westerton, Bearsden, is a building designed by J A W Grant with consultant Raymond Unwin, constructed between 1913 and 1915. It showcases the English Arts & Crafts style and consists of a symmetrical block of four houses. The façade is harled and features two inner doors with hoods suspended on iron ties. On either side, there are twin-gabled bays that include canted ground floor windows and timber-framed gable heads. The upper windows have small panes, while the lower ones are made of plate glass. The roof is covered with Westmoreland slate.
