Description
4 Stirling Avenue in Westerton, Bearsden, is a building designed by J A W Grant with consultant Raymond Unwin, constructed between 1913 and 1915. This symmetrical block consists of two houses and is a single storey with attic windows that break through the eaves. The exterior is harled, featuring a broad-eaved, near pyramidal slated roof that sweeps over the porches on the sides. A smaller slated canopy runs the full width between the floors, with a pair of canted windows below it. There are stacks positioned near the apex of the roof, and the property is enclosed by a stepped boundary wall facing the street.
