Description

Garden Cottage is an early to mid-19th century single-story, three-bay cottage, with a later one-bay addition to the northwest side. The cottage is constructed of mixed red and grey sandstone, using squared rubble with ashlar dressings. Details include raised margins and an eaves course. The front facade features a central door flanked by windows, with another window in the later addition. There are three windows at the rear. The left-hand side has an ashlar-coped skew, and the roof is covered with grey slates. Corniced ashlar stacks are present. Garden Cottage appears on the first edition Ordnance Survey map of 1860.
