Description
Shawhill House, built around 1820, is a two-storey building constructed from ashlar stone. Its facade is divided by flat pilasters and features a low parapet that is raised in the center, adorned with a row of five chimneys. The ground floor has tall narrow sash windows, while the upper floor has square windows. A porch supported by Doric columns enhances the entrance. At the rear, there is an earlier house with creamwashed stonework, along with a projecting office wing that has a bowed end. The property includes a walled garden on the side and a square summerhouse that features Gothic elements and wide spreading eaves.
