Description
4 Union Street in Kirkcudbright is an early 19th century terraced house that stands two stories tall and features two bays. The building is constructed of pinned rubble with painted margins. On the ground floor, there is a panelled door with a lozenge fanlight to the left and one window to the right. The first floor has two windows, all of which are fitted with 12-pane sash windows. The house has a slate roof with brick stacks at each end.
In a revision from 1991, the door was changed to a plain design with no panelling or lozenge fanlight, and modern tilting double glazed windows were installed.
