Isle Farm, Isle Of Whithorn

Isle Farm, located in the Isle of Whithorn, is a mid-19th century farmhouse designed in a cruciform plan and featuring one and a half storeys. The exterior is finished in painted rubble with smooth quoins, and the windows are adorned with bracketed hoods.

At the southwest re-entrant angle, there is a single-storey porch with a cornice and a tall bipartite window. All the windows in the farmhouse are bipartite, featuring timber moulded mullions and transoms, with casement designs and 16-pane glazing. The gables also have attic windows that are similarly detailed. On the northwest side, there is a tall dormer window that lights the stairwell, which includes small pane glazing with margined coloured glass.

The farmhouse has plain timber barge boards and slate roofs, with corniced gable head stacks and tall, painted brick diamond stacks arranged in pairs. Surrounding the property are rubble garden walls and coped rubble gatepiers.
