Description
Douglas House, dated 1857, is a single-story cottage with an attic. It has three bays and a prominent attic window set within a wide gable at the front. The central doorway has a modern door. Original sash windows are present. The cottage is constructed of rubble stone with ashlar dressings, and has been stone-cleaned. It features corniced gable-head stacks and a roof covered with graded slates. The main roof slopes down at the rear, extending over an outshot. A lower wing is attached to the north gable. Douglas House is also known as Douglas Farmhouse.
